Oscar has never really gotten his ass beat, but in the Quartey fight (a fight in which I thought Quartey won) he got marked up.
Totally agree with you. I've never to this day have seen DLH so discouraged in one fight. His face was cut & marked. When asked about a rematch right after the fight with Quartey he squirmed his way out of it saying that nobody wants to see them fight again. I thought Quartey won that fight hands down & gave DLH not only a physical beating; but mentally too. That's why we never saw a rematch.

Yep...that was one of the things Oscar did throughout his career that made me lose a little respect for him. Any way you scored that fight, Ike and Oscar were neck and neck for the entirety of that fight leading up until the 12th round. the 12th round KD didn't have an effect on my scorecard, just made it a claser loss for Oscar.

I know that an Oba Carr fight was a big desirable fight and all, but Oscar owed Quartey that rematch. Honestly he just wanted nothing to do with him after taking a healthy beating.
