They have to strike the iron while its hot like Ward and Kovalev are doing. The best time to make the fight is right now, fans wants it and GGG is at his peak right now. Hes coming off of 23 stoppages in a row and canelo also has two kos in his last 2 fights. The time is now.

They will operate the same way because they know as long as they both remain undefeated, once they announce the fight every boxing fan will tune in(casuals and hardcores).

GGG is putting hands on Canelo. There is no fleet footed runner in this fight. just a tank mowing down a woodshed.

Mayweather and Pacquiao found some ridiculous ways to avoid fighting each other, but neither ever punked out the way Alvarez did this year to avoid Golovkin. Also, neither is even close to the stardom or skill that Mayweather and Pacquiao had when they began their nonsense.

If Oscar's plan is to replicate Mayweather/Pacquiao, it will blow up in his face very quickly. It already is.

It isn't as big as Mayweather vs Pacquiao but it is big. It is indeed Oscar and nobody else who is delaying this fight. Canelo is his biggest moneymaker and a loss, especially a KO loss would hurt Canelo's money making potential. Oscar is not at all confident Canelo can beat GGG. GGG is 34 and past prime. He isn't getting better, only older. Canelo is 26 and still improving and getting even stronger with every fight. Oscar is stalling this fight off waiting for GGG to show signs of slowing down before he risks his cash cow. Canelo would probably fight GGG right now if it were up to him. Oscar has treated Canelo well and Canelo will honor his wishes and won't fight until Oscar makes the fight. It's all up to Oscar if we see this fight. GGG would fight anytime if a fair and reasonable offer was given him. A flat fee of 10million isn't fair. A 65/35 split of all available money in Canelo's favor would be reasonable and I think GGG would take that offer.

I agree up to the part about fairness. IMO if GGG wants the fight, do what Floyd, Kov and others have done-take a ****ty deal, win, and go on from there.

I also think a huge difference is Floyd and Manny were 2 ATG's. Canelo and GGG are 2 very good boxers, top 10 p4p, but they weren't on the same level.

Errm... Ahem... May I remind you of Mayweather's "retirement?"

Rosado is several levels below Canelo. Nobody would match Canelo into such a lightly regarded fighter as Rosado. Canelo would slaughter Rosado and KO him in a few rounds. It would be a total mismatch. Rosado wouldn't win a single minute of the few rounds he would survive. Rosado is a courageous and tough fighter but he is shot to pieces and his days near the top are over.
