By Lyle Fitzsimmons - It's probably not his fault, but I'm still going to blame Edward Brophy. The executive director of the International Boxing Hall of Fame had zero impact on when my parents met, married and decided to have children, so my blessed arrival on day No. 45 of Richard Nixon's presidency was likely not determined by anything over which he or his minions had control...

MAB and Holyfield are the guaranteed candidates this year. I can't really see Taylor getting in ever. He was a special talent but really didn't have any signature wins.

Julian Jackson would probably get the nod before he does.

they can keep it, anybody who does not have Donald Curry, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubanks, Julian Jackson is a big wanker who nows nothings about Boxing all should be for **** sake they have Barry Mcguigan who was never that great and blantly ducked Azumah Nelson. Benn beat Barkley who after beat Hearns

I don't think these HOF decisions mean much, but Eubank and Benn honestly are good enough for teh UK HOF, that's about it. Benn beating Barkley (who beat Hearns) doesn't mean that Benn > Hearns, by any stretch of the imagination. Barkley was an average fighter who just had Hearns' number. Barkley's record was 43-19. When he lost to Benn, Barkley was already coming off back-to-back losses to Duran and Michael Nunn.

I tend to agree, both of those guys (Benn&Eubank) were several steps below their American contemporaries at the time(Toney&Jones) and showed very little interest in fighting them. The Hall should be reserved for the brave, not the cowardly.
