    Dwight Muhammad Qawi app. topic

... aka Camden Buzzsaw was a hell of a fighter. I loved his style so much because I was allways a fan of small, shortarmed (ok he didn't have such a short armlength in proportion to his height, but his arms weren't very long for his weightclass) fearless fighters with a lot of head movement who love to box at the mid and close range and could punch. It was incredible to see a guy bult like him, I mean we all agree Tyson was built like a tank, but Qawi looked like 2 Tysons. It's amazing to know that he was a champion at light-heavyweight and cruiserweight, even fought at heavyweight (he's prehaps the best known for fighting Foreman when he was overweight, old and still made him look like a fool many times and even hurt him (!) until he got KO'd), and all of that while being the same height as Pacquiao!
By the way for those who don't know, he started boxing late, he learned how to box in prison while serving a sentence for an armed robbery.

I would love to see what other posters think about him, because I love so much his fights, but he got never mentioned here. Shotout to all of his fans!

He was a great fighter. I had just mentioned him in the cruiserweight thread a little bit ago.

I dunno, was he really 5'6''?

But yeah, watching his fights are awesome, he had personality too and a cheeky way of getting under opponents skins.

He put Holyfield in the hospital after their first fight which was an all-out war.

i loved qawi style! it was beautiful to watch a 5'6 tank just pressure taller opponents. he move his head and pump his jab(underrated jab) to the head and BODY to set up that right of his. it was sad to see his demise when he went up to heavyweight. boy could he take a punch though. after all these years, he still feels someway about holylfield and believes he was on something when they fought the first fight.
