With all due respect that was a warm up for world title fight he was getting anyway. Coming off injury fighters do that, remember this bloke has beaten Lee & Eubank he ain't no mug.

understandable that the fight you're referencing was a lead up to Lee after an injury. All the same when you consider that fighting Rosado on a ppv would've likely lead to Canelo after Saunders has been off for a year. He would've gotten exposure and made the fight more appealing. I know Monroe stepped in, beat Rosado and didn't get the Canelo fight but Monroe doesn't hold a title. If Canelo is going to move up to mw, it's likely for a belt and we know he won't fight ggg as his 1st fight at 160 so saunders makes the most sense.
