I commend Gary for wanting a rematch. But he has to realize how far away he is from one. Lomachenko is on a mission to be great. If he beats Walters, he'll likely face Gamboa next, followed by Berchelt (his mandatory) and then he'll move up to 135 and try and get a belt there. Gary isn't even on his radar, and part of the reason for that is that he's not making any moves. He hasn't fought since April and the opponent he faced was Patrick Hyland (who?). He's gotta be more active and fight better opponents and then start moving up in weight. He can't just cut in line and ask for that rematch.

Excellent article. And really nice find on Smith on what he was saying back when he was a reporter.

It really sucks about GRJ. He is a super talent and I am a fan, but the stuff he says makes you shake your head. If he wants to be a businessman, surely it is better to actually be active and get paid?
