Hell no! That ship sailed! He doesn't belong in the same room as Crawford. There was nothing close about their fight.

Comments Thread For: Ricky Burns Not Ruling Out Terence Crawford Rematch

From Crawford's pockets point of view, if he plans on being at 140lbs for 2017, he would be better off capturing the IBF belt from Troyanovsky while Broner beats burns for the WBA's belt. Then, you plan a fight for all the marbles against Broner. Let Broner's big mouth sell the fight. A motivated and dedicated Broner might even be a tougher opponent for Crawford than we might think (I'm not saying that he beats Crawford). You never know, the winner might lure Pacquiao if he is still fighting by then...or Floyd!Last edited by Afi23; 10-09-2016, 07:35 PM.

I also don't think Crawford is going to go to the UK for this fight a 2nd time.

Burns has some serious work just to get ready for Bonehead. And there's certainly no guarantee he beats that meathead trainwreck anyway. If he tightens up his defense, starts working some angles, he could thrash it out for a 12 round UD. If he goes in there as the basic fighter he was vs Relikh, he'll likely lose the belt. As for Crawford, really no reason for a part 2 unless Burns is just ready to cash out.

No fan of Broner but Burns is only competitive on the scorecards if the judges are in Scotland. He got an undeserved alphabet title shot against a cupcake because of his excellent promoter and "won" his mandatory over a guy ranked 223rd in the division by Boxrec. A rematch loss vs Crawford would only sell in Scotland and it seems more logical that his promoters will milk the paper alphabet belt against more nobodies rather than fighting Broner
