I hope people let RG move on and try to make the Innoue fight because Estrada is not going to be ready if they make the fight next year its just for the money.
His hand issues can very well shorten his career. It sucks because I'm a huge fan of his but if his hand won't allow him to operate properly at an elite level, what's the point?

Also, iirc he still had the cyst in his right hand in the Marquez fight, he had not removed and it had bothered him since the Roman title fight. Thus he finally underwent hand surgery and it caused him to stay inactive for over a year. Now he says his hand got swollen once again against Tabugon and gave him issues since the 6th round on... Thus his hesitance to throw it.

Oh boy, hopefully he gets ahold of the best hand specialist in the world! This guy is too talented and one of my faves to watch!

And he had an operation with surgery in that ****ing right hand.

He has a big problem now.
Wow that sucks man. He was gone a looonnng time too so you can't say he didn't rest it enough. Did the doctors do a bad job? Who knows...

I certainly hope it gets sorted out cause although I didn't watch the fight, this sounds worrisome.

It's a great idea. Championship level fighters should do this more often. Maybe they would fight more often if they took a 8 or 10 rounder against tuneup level fighters once or twice a year. You can keep fresh without putting yourself through the 12 round grinder.

Didn't see the fight, but I hope his hand is alright. A fighter like Estrada makes this division so much better, and it's already pretty good.

You can view the hand surgery scar on his right hand here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76ZWhAIaUhM

I personally think he is done if he can’t commit his right hand for a full punch.

Yes, very few athletes can come back from that 100%, specially in this hurting business where you punch your way to the top.

                  Man.

                  You don't have brain.

This is not a videojuego and the surgery and the lesion of his right hand are reals.

The doctor was a ****** Mexican doctor of the state of Sonora.

Maybe he needs doctors of another level, international level. I remember that Floyd used millionaires injections in his hands.

The problem? Estrada has not much money, his biggest pay was 250 k.

                    This is a big problem.

I believe if he could get the same shot Floyd uses on his brittle hands he could make one last great fight for the top, numbing his hand completely he could use all of his strength, but that will work for only one great fight, his hand will be ruined for life, but not a bad way to go out, it's much better than losing because his hand was in too much pain with a mediocre champion like El Nica Concepcion.
