Danny Jacobs wants an interim fight before Golovkin! Jacobs is ducking GGG!

That's only mandated if it goes to purse bids. What's holding up the fight is that Jacobs needs 10-12 weeks or training and is nowhere near ready, and that he passes on 2 Quillins while posting lousy numbersComment

I'm sure that promoters will be absolutely falling over themselves to incur a loss just so Jacobs can be paid an appropriate purse amountComment

im a dj fan but.............
FCUK WHAT HE WANTS !!!!!!!!!!!!
get that a55 in there and beat this 3g guy. or get beaten. dont add bullshlt to the mix. 1st its the money, now you want to add a person. what the fnck is next ?Comment

How much did he get for that Quillin fight?
Seems that has ruined Jacobs appetite for the sport basically. I imagine he wants to get paid relative to that or he doesn't want to fight.
In a way it is reasonable but as boxing fans this is why the sport is on its arse. If someone digs out 500k to fight Sergio Mora again he'll fight him in an hour.
Even mandatories try and get out of fights, ffs.Comment

Flopped would be Golovkins foray into the PPV arena. If Mr. A-side GGG hadn't went triple plastic in PPV buys, then this fight wouldn't be in the predicament it is in now.Comment

HOWEVER, he could not draw flies to a turd and that's why he was paid 500k for his last fight with allegedly an undercard fighter being responsible for 70% of the crowd in the arena.
He needs to decide whether he wants to be the no. 1 MW with the ability to write his own cheque or a relative nobody fighting in backwaters because there is only so much money to be made from a fight with a guy from Kazakhstan in the USComment
