I'm still not sure what to think of Whyte. He goes through stretches in fights where he looks good and then others where he looks bad. Sounds like they're gearing up for Chisora in December. Not sure he's ready for that yet. If I were Hearn I think I'd try to get a defense against ***ton or Cornish first before taking on Chisora. I do think Whyte is getting a bit better and he was in the best shape I've seen him, but my gut tells me Chisora would outwork him at this stage.

Yeah i agree. I think he's improving and did look like he is getting in better shape. The Chisora fight will be a good marker of where he's at though. Chisora is on the slide i think. If Whyte has any aspirations of competing at world level then he needs to be able to beat this version of Chisora i think.

I thought tonight was a decent performance too. It was measured against a guy he probably just couldn't go in and blast out as he was tough and can dig.

Well i don't think he will ever be really world level, but could be decent on the domestic scene.

Doesn't say much for Joshua though, he went life and death, put on ***** street and went stiff for 2 rounds against Whyte. That might be Joshua's best win. I'd pick Whyte to beat Breazeale and Martin, they were really awful.

He looked a bit sloppy in doing so on offense but defensively looked hard to hit most of the time,its almost like hes giving himself sparring sessions in his last fights ,which can be good as opponents will look at this and fall for it. Obviously the skills are there.

Joshua maybe broke him a bit in that devastating knock out but,? My guess is Whyte is playing around trying to gain as much experience for the top guys.

Haven't watch Whyte all that much, but he certainly looked in good form in this one. Difficult to hit, sharp crisp punches, good uppercuts, great body shots. He's moving along well IMO. Chisora would definitely be a tough test, but IMO Whyte beats him.

Hey Jugg. Watched this fight very closely and definitely agree on this one. Whyte was very clearly trying to get rounds in. He took a very defensive approach which hindered his offense but in the long run his camp clearly thinks it'll benefit him.

I think that his defense is improving. His stamina is improving. His ring IQ is improving and clearly he's getting a lot of time in ring which is tremendous for a young guy. Now he just needs to be able to mix this new more cautious style with the pop he used to have and then maybe we'll see where he really is at this point in time.

What'd you make of the Parker fight last week since I know you were quite critical of Joey?!
