This is a hailstorm of controversy, but really they need to just move on. Povetkin isn't the boogie man of drug cheats this whole thing makes him out to be. Move past it.

If Povetkin loses the Stiverne fight, he's done. If his side loses the trial, he's done. Lot riding on the next few months for him.

If he loses the Stiverne fight, I think effectively it would be a horrible loss and a step back.

the decision of the court case does not matter at all though.

WBC is merely covering their ass considering they will be a key witness in the court case. Povetkin and Wilder suing each other.

Wilder has a very very very weak case and was merely suing for money for not fighting.

Povektin/Ryabinskiy is suing for actual damages.

What actual damages did they incur? The WBC called off the fight due to his positive test for a banned substance. How did Wilder damage him?

Yeah, it kinda reminds me of Tyson-Douglas. If they had just moved on the rematch might have got done, but King tried to take it to court over the long count Douglas got earlier in the fight.

Povetkin is going to be under a microscope going forward and that will tell the tale, so let's move forward to the fights already.
