The other thing to consider is this is the WBA we're talking about here, not the IBF. The WBA is extremely flexible when it comes to enforcing mandatories. If they make Blanco mandatory, chances are that for one, they aren't going to impose some deadline immediately and two, if K2/Golovkin request more time, the WBA will likely grant it - they do all the time. Out of all the sanctioning bodies, the WBA enforces mandatories the least amount. I certainly wouldn't bet on Blanco happening next, in fact I'm positive it won't.
Well I don't think anyone will be upset if they are flexible on this occasion, it's not like anyone has earned a title shot. I hope you are right.

    • I guess Loeffler told Steve Kim that Haymon's no longer returning his calls. Kind of hard to negotiate a fight like that.

        Where'd you see that?

        Did they accept 60-40?

I knew Jacobs wouldn't let money stand between him and the chance to gurgle GGG's milk

It was on their podcast that just ended.

It sounds like Haymon's done negotiating and waiting for Wednesday. On Wednesday the purse bid will be ordered and the decision on the split request will be announced (10 days later after the purse bid).

In its eagerness to make the mandatory fight between WBA World Super middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs), the undefeated knockout artist from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and WBA World middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs), the “Miracle Man” fighting out of Brooklyn, New York, the World Boxing Association has extended the purse bid deadline in the belief that the extra time will enable the two parties to reach an agreement.

“If they can reach an agreement by October 12, we just ask for contracts,” said WBA president Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, according to the Los Angeles Times. “If they can’t, I’ll call for a purse bid within ten days and we’ll then release what we decided. They don’t know right now. Honestly, it’s a good fight for the sport and I’m trying to be fair with Jacobs and Golovkin.”

There are several issues that need to be resolved.

One is the purse bid split, which is traditionally 75% to the champion (Golovkin) and 25% to the challenger (Jacobs). Leon Margules, who represents Jacobs, has petitioned the WBA to revise the split to 60-40.

Another is the venue, with both Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center hoping to land the fight.

Another is the network on which the fight will be televised. Golovkin is contracted to HBO, while Jacobs and his manager Al Haymon are aligned with Showtime.

If those differences can be resolved, a darn good middleweight championship bout will be in the offing.

If it does go to purse bid, I can see the WBA mandating at least a 70-30 or 65-35 split. I think we'll have a fight if they do.

                  What do you think?

I hope so, a compromise might work for both parties.

I mean in your opinion, what do you think?

Or are you for whatever Team GGG decide to do?

I'm not trying to be argumentative here, I genuinely want to know your rationale.
