Thurman's Power is the real deal!

Shawn Porter say's Thurman is the hardest puncher he has fought!

Shawn used to fight at 165 in the amateurs so this is a big deal.

Thurman hits even harder than Degale!

    Oh noes!

I never liked Porter before but the dude is a classy person for sure. Not the most talented either but knows how to make use of his tools. Props to him.

Porter never fought Spence. Spence stopped Bundu and Thurman didn't. Bundu said Spence was better and Spence's punches were more accurate and harder than Thurman's punches. Also Broner dropped Porter and badly hurt him while Thurman couldn't knock Porter down. Thurman is a good puncher but Spence probably punches harder and a few other welterweights may hit as hard as Thurman. I am a Thurman fan because of his all around fighting ability. He is a clean fighter in the ring and a good guy outside the ring. His power is indeed real but a few other welterweights punch just as hard in my opinion.

I see Porter still salty over the schooling that the SPECIAL ONE Kell Brook gave him.

Broner barely threw punches and dropped him hard. Brook also stiffened his legs with an uppercut.

He never really took a step back against Thurman and it was a toss-up fight, seems like a clever way of talking yourself up.

Thurman's power is definitely real, he got like 70 stoppages in the amateurs in about 100 fights. That's seriously impressive.

I think Spence and Brook are more accurate and technically better than Keith, but in terms of just power, Thurman is probably the hardest hitter at 147.

Props to Porter.. One Time, Brook & Spence probably are the power punchers in the division.. Make them fight against each other already!!

I don't know about this, if I had to guess I would say that between Spence and Thurman, that Keith's right hand is the hardest single punch that either guy could throw. Having said that - I could see with Spence's style and size why he might get more knockouts at the elite level. He is a search and destroy guy, and he is educated with it. Keith boxed against Bundu for some reason, I felt like he wanted rounds, where as Spence is going to come after you unless you give him a reason not to, and Bundu doesn't offer much power back so he got wrecked.

Yes, that natural power is a gift. Sometimes you see guys who are huge and you expect them to be strong. Then you see someone with a regular build like Thurman, who surprises you with great power.

Degale isn't that hard of a puncher himself so I'm not really sure how impressive that is supposed to be.
