That's because you don't know what you're watching.

There's nothing great about a guy throwing a barrage of cuffing shots where only 1 out of 10 lands clean.

    It's not the amateurs.

Compubox is just a bunch of statistics.

    Statistics don't allow for circumstances.

He would have out worked Roy in his prime?

      Laughable.

He wouldn't even have fought Roy in his prime.

Again, yes, Joe was past his best in 2008. But he was still an elite level guy.

How can you ignore what he wrote in his autobiography?

No knowledgeable fan thinks that Joe was greater than Roy. On the night, clearly. But not overall.

      Your posts are complete fantasy.
thats one fight ffs, i havent watched every single fight of every fighter i like. he still won 116-111 on two cards and outlanded him clearly. At the end of the day, you can hate on joe but he schooled your best american hope, jeff lacy, and beat your two legends hopkins and jones jr. 46-0, that must sting!!!!

I know you've never seen footage of Roy in his prime. It's obvious.

He couldn't be beaten? Joe was a great fighter, but it's not as though beat a lot of great fighters.

He could never have been beaten, on the grounds that he wasn't. Great logic there. I guess Ali was inferior to Marciano, seeing as though nobody ever beat him yet Ali lost 5 times.

Stop posting **** and go and watch some fights.

Robin Reid gave Joe all he could handle, and we never saw him fight a top southpaw in his career. So it's laughable to say he'd have beaten any other SMW in history, and he was the best. He wasn't the best.

Again, he got dropped by Kabary Salem and Byron Mitchell, but he'd have beaten Roy at 25? Ha! I don't think so chief. You can't beat Roy if you're struggling with Reid and getting caught by those guys.

Get yourself on YouTube and stop pretending that you know things when you don't.
he couldnt be beaten, theres not a fighter in history whos ever fought at 168 who could beat joe calzaghe. Yeah he got dropped but he got back up

          Stop posting ****** comments then.

It just makes you look foolish.

Stop focusing on the judges scores for reference.

I'm not hating on Joe at all. I'm just shaking my head at your ridiculous posts.

He didn't school my best American hope. I'm English.

He beat 2 legends? How awesome. Joe must surely be one of the greatest fighters of all time for accomplishing such an a amazing feat.

He must be just behind Glen Johnson, Antonio Tarver, and Jermain Taylor on the ATG lists.

That depends on how well the power of Golovkin translates to 168, believe it or not, some guys can't carry the power ONE division up.
I see Golovkin been surprised by the strength of Calzaghe, so he sticks to a boxer puncher type of fight but maybe too late and losses a close UD/SD.

                You're clearly trolling.
Ward has never fought anyone as good as Joe Calzaghe, it'd be easy work for Joe he'd outwork lazy Ward who's only real hope would be to clinch all night long but we all seen what happened to a better version of Ward when he fought Joe Calzaghe.

I can't be bothered with you.

                  I don't think you're genuine.

                  I think you're a troll.

I've read a number of your posts.

No genuine boxing fan who possessed even an ounce of knowledge could be as ****** as you.

Why don't you slow it down and count each one then lol, clinching isn't scoring shots either and Bernard did more clinching than he did with trying to land effective punches.

The fight was a clear UD win for Joe who commanded the action for the majority of the fight apart from one fluke knock down Joe made adjustments and Bernard couldn't keep in the fight 116-111.
