    1. Linares is not this supposed lineal champion at lightweight. No one considered Linares or Crolla as 1 or 2 at lightweight including Ring Magazine where Linares was ranked #1 and Crolla was ranked #3. Dejan was actually ranked #2 at the time and still is. He's the Ring Magazine Champion.

    2. This isn't about who is the true Lightweight Champion, we're talking about who does WBC recognizes as their champion which is currently Dejan Zlanticanin.

    3. Lineage in the division would be determine by the winner of the two since they are universally recognized #1 and #2 fighters at Lightweight. It would be a unification fight between WBA and WBC Champion.

I'm a fan of Linares but what is it with you guys trying to hand of accomplishments like you don't know how the system works.

OMG are you still at it? damn....hard headed really.....there is nobody at the weight more accomplished than Crolla or Linares keep in mind Barthelmey was the man and when he moved up it changed the rankings and nobody with any sense would consider Zlalalhta over Crolla the dude has not made one defense! stop referring boxrec and ring put things into context...also the Ring has changed its policy regarding how to establish lineage the #1-2# can face the #4.-#5....and lastly WHO is sporting THE RING BELT right now ( take a guess )!!!! you are on one.

OneHour I thought you was a much decent poster than what you've presented so far in this thread. Ring Magazine and TRBR had Dejan ranked #2 before and after the Crolla vs Linares fight.

ESPN had Flanagan #2, Dejan #3, and Crolla #4.

Hell this very site you're on, Boxingscene, has Dejan ranked #1 and Linares at #2.

No one had Crolla at #2. Simply put the fight wasn't for lineage. Dejan is WBC recognized champion, and the fight between him and Linares remedies the Lineal vacancy and unifies WBC and WBA titles.

And why you keep talking like Dejan hasn't beaten anyone when he has wins over Ricky Burns and Peter Petrov arguably better fighters than anyone Crolla has faced.

Once again you are letting these publications think for you its almost as bad as referring to boxrec....HOW can Flanagan be above Crolla? please break down Flanagans resume and compare what hes done to Crolla and explain how Zllalaltal or Flanagan are better than Crolla? this is the reason why Linare vs. Croll for the Ring/lineal title....I mean Canelo is p4p on Boxrec!!!!! unbelievable - Im done.

You can't just make up your own rankings and say their law, there has to be a consensus within major rankings. should we all have our own separate rankings for each division.

And yes I do think Dejan is better than Crolla. He's beaten Rick Burns, Ivan Redkach, and Peter Petrov all very good wins within the division. Flanagan is another story and I would ranked Crolla over him pre Linares lost.
