If he wants to force that Canelo fight I think he can make a small concession like making the fight with a 70-30 split. Unless Jacobs was unwilling to make such a deal, this could be a missed opportunity if Jacobs moves on, perhaps to another division because I don't see any other top contender giving him a fight.
Dude Jacobs said he was offered 2 Quillins, which wasn't enough for him. Whatever that means, it's way better than 70/30.

I figured he might have returned to reality by now since those Quillin paydays are as rare as leprechauns for him now.

I think it was before the purse bid was officially called though. If he doesn't take the fight I doubt he will make another 'Quillin' again.

its funny that you keep running your mouth about how GGG would vacate and blah blah blah when its actually your idol Haymon who has the history with a fighter losing a bid and vacating. I've never heard of a K2 fighter doing that. Perhaps you could share all the examples you have. Oh, wait.......

Wade wasn't even ranked #1 or #2 by the IBF. He became the Mando after Johnson's injury.

As for Saunders: I remember that he was 23 of age when he KOd Jarrod Fletcher in the second round... The same Jarrod Fletcher whom Jacobs beat (two years later) in order to get that vacant WBA "regular" belt...
When was Saunders offered $3million??? I thought the final offer was $1.5 million???

                  • looks like Golovkin will fail to secure yet another high-profile fight

why does the word ' average " keep springing to mind ?

I can't imagine a true boxing fan being that happy/content with not seeing fights materialize like he has shown for the past few years
