The guy is praised by boxing fans, but reviled by NSB. I think it's just one of those hardcore things were you're supposed to hate popular music, mainstream films, trendy clothes, etc.

Sadly, most don't see how complex Canelo's skill set is. He really does have a lot more talent than he gets credit for. When he's finally an underdog again and overcomes, then people will take note.

Looked terrible in all of his "big fights", got absolutey HUMILIATED by 147 WW Floyd when Golovkin DESTROYED the undefeated Mayweather of the 160 division in Brook. Many thought an old over the hill worn out Cotto beat him. His best wins? Angulo? Who knocked down Lara twice lol? Trout who is a nobody lol?!?! Lemieux, Stevens, Murray, Brook are all better than any of the opposition Mr. 62k has beat.

I really don't like Canelo, but i can't deny his skills, he is getting better with every fight, i don't like when acts really pretentious and starts to do stuff that he clearly can't do, but his head movement is good, his punch selection is really good, his timing is wonderful, he is well schooled and probably will get better with every fight.

I have respect for his skill and power, I'd have more respect for his career if he displayed those skills against opponents who are not undersized and outmatched.

He does get credit but he has been heavily criticised for avoiding a fight with Golovkin. Some people has made a much bigger deal about the latter than others. I'm over it personally.

The hate he's getting is deserved, and most people go overboard that just because a fighter is perceived to be 'ducking', that means he would automatically lose. That is false.

Canelo is an tremendous boxer. He'd be a favorite over anyone at MW, and IMO is a 50/50 fight with Golovkin.
