I'd guess Kovalev will eventually wear down and stop Ward, but Ward is a slippery snake so who knows. One thing for certain though, it will only be an exciting fight if Kovalev wins. Ward brings to the ring the excitement of a painfully slow wi-fi connection, or watching golf on TV. Kinda in the same ballpark as Pop Floydie's kid, later in his career. Ward's performance does absolutely nothing to bring more fans to the sport.

The more I go back and watch the fights these guys have been in, I am leaning more towards Ward. However, I don't think he "whoops" Kovalev. He will assert himself as the better boxer throughout the 12 rounds. It'll be a great show regardless..

Kinda dramatic don't you think. Besides, top fighters actually facing each other is what will bring more fans to the sport.....which is what Ward and Kov are doing.

Maybe the sport should make changes to appeal to fans like you. First, get rid of ropes. Have a circle same size as Olympic Wrestling, and if the fighter steps outside the circle, he get's a point deduction. That way lateral movement, footwork, and ring generalship goes out the window! Next, change the gloves to MMA style gloves, that way gloves can't be used defensively, and hopefully for you, the shoulder roll goes away too! Lastly, no more 12 round fights, maybe make it 5 rounds, which would force the action! And by the way, change the name from "Boxing" to "Fighting." "Boxing" is too gay!
