Floyd doesnt want to fight Golovkin, and knows Golovkin doesn t want to fight Ward. That's why Floyd came up with that non sense.
Can you imagine Duran saying "Hagler needs to fight Qawi first, then I will fight Hagler"
Duran was a badass, Floyd isn't.
Floyd measure his opponents and only picked fights he knew he could win, when he had doubts, he waited the other fighter to decline or ignored them (Pacquiao, Cotto then Margo P.Will).

Floyd is a big WW but he's really not a MW. He would not escape GGG for 12 rounds. I say by the 6th round, Floyd would start taking massive abuse.
I do think it's funny how Sr. is trying to use reverse psychology to lure Jr. back into the ring for another massive payday for himself!!!!!!!

I would like to see him fight GGG mostly because should he win, I would enjoy the meltdowns and excuse making.

That said, I would not bet 100% that GGG beats Floyd at his very peak.
Floyd knows how to avoid punishment and his reflexes are better than Brooks.
