3 yrs ago these 2 were headed in a direction where the torch would be passed to them and both have careers that went downhill. After Swift bear Mattysse he had solidified himself as that dude. Then in my eyes he lost to hererra and peterson but got gifts, fought salka, came to 147 fought once in 16 months against guererro. Broner recently got out of jail and aside from Porter hadnt fought anyone worth a damn since Maidana spanked him which is now 3 years ago. 3 years in boxing is like dog years

I just realized it's been three years. Wow. That is a long time. Yeah, they had the momentum, but it's been squandered. They still could make some noise. Wouldn't take much, but such a slump can be hard to come back from.

I'm surprised they aren't fighting each other next. They are each other's most winnable fight that will also bring them some money/hype. Neither of them can beat Thurman, Brook, Spence, Bradley, Manny, or Crawford. So why aren't they going after the next best thing which is each other.

I think a fight between the two would be a good fight. I think that fight is the smartest thing for both of them to save their downhill slide. Of course the loser would take a bigger hit to their career, but the winner would be back in the spotlight again.

The loss to Maidana really took more out of Broner's confidence than he'll ever admit. Up to that point he thought he was the second coming of Mayweather. I think the best he can hope for now is to finish his career without going broke......

Not really sure what's up with Garcia, maybe he peaked with his win over Matthysse....he seems to be cautious of real challenges now.
