And Hopkins talking about moving up is absolutely ridiculous. He moved up when he FORTY years old after he lost. If he wants Golovkin to follow in his footsteps, then BHop needs to shut the hell up for 6 years.
Hopkins is one of the only fighters ever to win the lineal title at 160 and 175

he is more than qualified to speak on the matter, especially considering his era was just as bad as GGG's is now, the difference is he had the balls to move up and fought in a decent era at 175 and could compete with and or beat some of the best

if he didnt do this he wouldnt be remembered as great as he is now.

Many great fighters whether they won or lost moved up from 160 to higher weights..Robinson, Hopkins, Jones, Tiger, Toney...SOME WERENT EVEN GREATS like Iran Barkley, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Michael Nunn,

the only waY ggg will be remembered as great is if he cleans out 160 like hopkins did, or he moves up and wins some big fights, the type of things he is doing now isnt enough

Jones wasnt 40 years old when he moved up from 160

nor was Toney, Nunn, **** Tiger, Ray Robinson, Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Reggie Johnson, Mike McCallum, Hearns, LaMotta, Mickey Walker, the list goes on

I know you think GGG is at least as good as Reggie Johnson....he won titles at 160 and 175 and will never be seen as a great fighter but he took more risks than GGG...fought toney, Jones, and other champs from 160-175.

just say you dont expect much out of GGG and move on.....Hopkins isnt the only fighter in history to fight at 160 and move up with success you know

If you want to know how great he is just look at the betting odds every time he fights. He is always a huge favorite and he will again be a huge favorite to beat the excellent Jacobs. Hopkins sees his long standing record of 20 title defenses close to being broken and he doesn't like it. He has never lost a fight and hardly ever loses a single round. He has never been hurt or knocked down. He has 24 KOs in a row with the last 17 KOs being in defense of his 3 world titles. Hell yes, he is a great middleweight and that's the way he will be remembered by the vast majority. He could retire today and he would be a first ballot hall of famer.

Take that milk bottle and shove it up your ass. You are the crybaby and totally obsessed with trashing GGG. If GGG is such a poor fighter why does this board need you to explain how lousy he is every ***ing day. It should be obvious he is no good without you telling us about it. You have an over the top insane hatred for this boxer that you share with a few other nuts on this board. In your heart you know how good he is and it drives you crazy. Get a life, you ***ing crybaby, and do something besides trashing a boxer who never reads your lies anyway.

you are legit preoccupied with this man.

if he was so bad, would you really need to make 15 threads about him a day, and post 100 times on a monday morning?

is golovkin a great middleweight? of course not. doesn't have the resume, and i wouldn't pick him over the great MW, either. is he the most avoided boxer in teh sport, the best MW on the planet, and on any decent p4p list?
                yes

Some of today's champions who have never moved up since turning pro. Rigo, Thurman, Lara, Trout, the Charlo brothers, Andrade, Jacobs, Saunders, Kovalev and the list goes on. Yet you have never posted a single word saying they should move up.You single out GGG and only GGG because you are a hateful, obsessed ass hole. Great middleweights of the past who DID NOT MOVE UP IN WEIGHT IN THEIR ENTIRE CAREER, would include Hagler, Monzon, Zale, Fullmer, Pender, Cerdan, Graziano, Giardello and the list goes on and on. Most of the boxers you said moved up in weight did so because they could no longer comfortably stay at the weight they were fighting at and not to take risks. If you knew a damn thing about boxing you would know that.

Trust me, GGG hasn't fought his last Welter yet.
I see people bring up the Hopkins age and GGG age but what they fail to acknowledge is GGG doesn't have the style built for longevity in the sport. Hopkins style was a defensive style based off hit and not get hit. GGG isn't that type of fighter

its simple....either he fights better middleweights or move up, or he'll just be another shouldve couldve story

its always "hate" when someone is NOT bigging up a fighter you like...eh...dudes highly unproven and hasnt proven his greatness....its a fact that you cant even handle from all time greats even telling you and you are in denial.

where are the lies I told? Was Jones, Tiger, Robinson, Nunn, Toney, McCallum, charles in their 40s when they moved to 168-175? no.....several were in their friggin 20s.
