He hasn't, and we will never see him go out on a virtual shut out like Trinidad either. His skills are comperable to Floyds and his edge in size.strength/power give him a reasonable chance.

Oscar would beat anybody from 154 down, but of course Floyd is in a different class. Could Oscar beat Floyd Yes, but mostly likely not.

Floyd is a monster, in a league of his own.

And you cant take away credit from Mayorga he fought 2 Hall of Famers (tito and oscar).

Wouldnt anybody want to see Mayorga against Vargas or Hatton. You cant blame Mayorga for losing to Oscar. Oscar is a beast.

I think oscar could take floyd, alot of people bag on Mayorga he is just a street brawler, but how many street brawlers have had 3 belts. Mayorga only does good against younger Inexperienced guys (lewis, Forrest) not vets like Oscar and tito, I knew oscar was going to win but was disappointed with Mayorga last night Where was his chin at. He has had no defense his entire career and look what tito had to do to drop him and then oscar just walked all over him.

A lot of you guys clearly didn't read my post right. First off, I KNOW WHO OSCAR IS. Ok? This isn't the first time I've seen him fight and I know what he's been capable of. My point being was that he came back after nearly 2 years and faces a very incapable man. Then he's being hailed as the messiah once again. I wasn't comparing him to Tito nearly as much as it went through one of your heads. I simply said that meaning that Tito also beat the crap out of Mayorga and then got schooled in his next fight after he was praised as the next coming as well following the KO win over Mayorga. I'm sure Oscar would put up a better fight than Tito did against anyone else just because he always was more technically sound than Tito. Now if you reread my post with an empty head, you might not see it as me hating or saying that much negativity on him. I love Oscar, he's good for the sport and can fight, I'm simply saying that all you nut huggers think this was that great of a fight or a showing of things to come. I'm saying, it isn't.

I agree that he was supposed to win, but I was very impress in the way he did it. He went toe to toe with the brawler.

dlh is a very skilled boxer, he only loses to elite guys. mayorga is a tough guy, but i never thought he really had a chance against oscar when i heard this fight was gonna happen. pbf is another question, but because of the skills of both guys it'd be a great fight to watch

What you aren't understanding is that it's not just that he beat Mayorga, it's the way he beat him. He STILL displayed many of the skills that made him so great throughout his career and he outslugged the slugger.

It's not a matter of him doing this to Mayorga...it's a matter of his ability carrying over to other fights with more skilled fighters.

The fact that you opened and closed your post with comparisons to Trinidad lead me to believe that you were trying to directly parallel the two. Sorry if that's not what you were trying to say.

I'm no Oscar nuthugger by any means, but I think he'd a have a shot at beating Floyd because his skills are comperable (not better...but not MUCH worse) and he has natural size and power advantages. Plus he is extremely experienced when fighting skilled, elusive fighters.
