In the early days of his career Hatton didn't clinch that much and was fun to watch. In his prime he became a terrible clincher and I hated watching him. He was actually a hold and hit type clincher which is supposed to be illegal but he got away with it especially in England. He wouldn't even throw a punch until he grabbed a guy first and then he started punching while holding the guy. He earned the nick name, hold and hit Hatton. I know this will piss off Hatton fans especially his very loyal UK fans but it's the truth as I know it.
