Fans are bandwagon by nature. While these new era fighters are battling for the #1 spot, they won't be around. Once that new star emerges from the pack, the fans will come back. Just the nature of sports.

You are a football fan right? Wonder how you have Patriots and Seahawks fans who have never stepped foot in those cities, paid taxes or attended high school or college in those cities? Because they are bandwagon fans and just want to be a part of something special. Boxing is no different.

Oh yeah. I'm sure all sports have their bandwagons. My point is that while America may be the home for big fights, there are so many other fights involving champions from other countries now that I just see that boxing has burst into international status much more than here in the states where it once produced the majority of champions. Now, we have ten and that's not bad, but we don't seem to have as many as we used to.

Boxing is dead in America, but thriving and huge internationally..

I have been saying for the past few years that by 2020, american fighters will have to leave and go to Canada, UK, Germany, or Japan to land good paydays

            Follow the money..

Traditional american sport leagues get the best international talent,, NBA, baseball, etc...
Europe gets the best international soccer players because it has huge fanbases and huge $$$..

Boxing was huge in America and all international fighters tried to come to Vegas or NYC..

But now the money has dwindled for boxing in America, while its thriving in other places..
UK and their stadiums are quickly becoming the big fight Capitol of the world..
A decade ago guys like Hatton and khan came over to the USA for big fights, but since froch-groves had that huge stadium fight, there is really no need to come to the U.S if you can sellout WEMBLEY and do huge PPv numbers

That's a great point. The Brits definitely have it going on these days. A Frampton-Santa-Cruz II fight would do so well over there.
