No chance this result is changed. He was still clinching when he took a knee and got hit.
Had he not been d****d all over Parker, sure. But this was a typical dimi quit job.
I almost hope they order a rematch so Parker can pick apart the rest of him. Dimi wanted to get out of there fast - he ain't coming back.Comment

Yep... Parker was dominating. It isn't like Marlon is an A-class ref though. Even if you don't count the Bute fight. But that was indeed an insane call.Comment

If it was up to me I wouldn't even pay that quitter. Hopefully we don't ever have to hear about him again after this.Comment

Ugly heavyweight fight. Dimitrenko looked terrible, he was having a hard time standing up even when Parker wasn't hitting him. Hearn's on a roll though, he gets to hype Parker, sell the fight with Joshus and still protect his guy from a legitimate threat.Comment

I was impressed by how Parker handled the fight - not because he dominated (a comfortable win was always likely) but instead the way he did it. He could have fallen into the trap of just walking through Dimis punches and bullying him - much like AJ has done with the scrubs he's fought. Instead, Parker fought like he's going to have to do against the best - establishing his range early, fighting off the jab in punches, and working the body once he got inside. Parker isn't going to be able to just walk through the elite, something AJ hasn't experienced yet, and will have to learn very quickly.
Parker could have gotten loose and really hurt Dimi, but gained nothing technically in the process. Instead, he fought a smart fight and still crushed his guy.
Against a guy with a massive reach advantage, he really only took one heavy shot. The rest was all one way traffic.
I figured it was going to be a short fight when Dimi backed off after he ate jabs early in the first - it was clear he wanted nothing to do with Parker's power and speed. Whatever game plan he had, was punched out of him early.Comment
