Didn't they bring out a different scale for JCCjr at a weigh-in 4 or 5 years ago claiming the other one was broken?

I do think this has been going on since scales were used in boxing. It's an easy way to gain an underhand advantage.

        What a jackass...

I also have a feeling that Clottey cheated on the scale in the Corrales fight. He made 147 but yet weighed 170 on fight night. Unless he ate half a zebra for breakfast, I have a feeling he was heavier than 147 on the night of the weigh-in.

They don't have to tamper with the scales..if a trainer could get close to his fighter he could secretly lift him...

I saw a trainer lift a guy's but cheek with his thumb while pretending to lean over for a better view of the scale.

Behind the leg is where this is likely to happen because you can easily get someone to block for you.

          The old pinch 'n lift...

Can confirm, I used to volunteer to do this all the time. They kicked me out of that gym later when the guys were complaining that I was doing the butt lifts on them without asking, in the locker room, all the time. I just wanted to practice it but they didnt understand and said it was harassment.

This would be trick #67029 in the boxing handbook.

              Awesome scene by the way.
This. He just stepped on the scale and some clown yelled "154" super fast and he stepped off in a hurry.

Cotto was made you weigh in two days before his fight with Paulie M at 140, that a form of cheating at the weighs so he can recover better than if the weigh in had been a day before.

Chavez Jr weigh in with one fighter (can't recall his name for the life of me) they actually didn't weigh Chavez, he jump on the scales and off in seconds and the announcer claimed he made weight.

That's just trying to make weight, that is not gaining advantage ,if hes under weight.
