You would think but now guys are more about big paydays than proving who is the best or for legacy...if I fought it would be with the goal of making it into the Hall Of Fame for bragging rights and for my daughter...nephews and family to brag and be proud about...it's been a long while since we've had a boxer in the family but nephews looks promising...

Athleticism? Ortiz is a walking fat body.

I understand the desire, and even need, for the biggest possible paychecks, but what's happening is slowly killing the sport. Fighters have always ducked each other to some extent, but I don't believe it's ever been nearly this bad. The market will dictate the fights. If fans refuse to pay for BS match-ups, boxing will have to step up its game. It seems to me there aren't very many fights worth paying for nowadays. I know I've been steadily losing interest for some time now.

Actually, he's a surprisingly athletic guy. Some dudes just don't have pretty bodies. I've seem some workout footage where Ortiz impressed me with his level of athleticism. He's a problem.

Yeah it's a shame boxing has come to this...HBO did a great job in refusing to show the pacquiao vargas fight...that shit should be free...

I agree 100%. Alarmingly, more and more undercards, and even main events, simply aren't worth the money. Unless the PPV main event turns out to be one for the ages, I'd better have gotten my $60 worth with the undercard included. One of my neighbors likes to throw fight parties. He'll have like three or four TVs running a PPV fight for all his guests. People like him really need to get their money's worth.

Yeah your neighbor is cool for that...fights are so unpredictable and you never know when a fighter decides to throw a fight or some other bullshiso it's best to have a worthy undercard as you mentioned it's just that these crook promoters are only about the bottom line...their bottom line...

sure a *** should be. Although i think its gonna be better than everyone is thinking its not gonna be. (still aint paying for it)

As for Ortiz...AJ would be the best fight to make with him. Ortiz wins it. As for wilder lmfao...In no way is he a match for Ortiz. Ortiz will brutally KO Wilder. I see Wilder going down a few times before getting punished hard or before the ref stops it.
