I wish Sugar Ray Leonard was more active during his career

I heard he had a detached retina that's why he retired, and then made a comeback in the mid 1980's.

He only had 40 professional fights, but that was against a very solid oppositions.

    agreed

I wish fights with Aaron pryor at 147.....Curry at 147-154 in the mid 80s.....or McCallum could have have happened at 154....I think mccallum was either hearns or Durans mandatory when they held a title at 154.

he did a lot for such a short career

Yeah. Only reason why I rated Duran higher than him was because he was more active than SRL.

      Leonard was the better fighter.

I used to rate Duran higher but now I don't...Leonard beats a lot of guys Duran lost to and IMO he was just a flat out better fighter

Duran is awesome...I grew up idealizing the Fab 4....he gets a little overrated because of the Leonard win and the Barkley win at 37 years old

I'd rate him a lot higher if he was a dedicated guy like Mayweather, Hagler, etc who always came in prepared

That's part of being a great fighter, the preparation

And to think that he is going down as one of the greatest after only handlful fights. That shows volume.

Ray leonard to me is the greatest of all time. Greater than ray robinson.
