I read earlier Cotto isn't coming back until Feb 2017, that would give Brook at least 3-4months of healing before camp. With that said, would you pay to see this with a decent undercard possibly including Gamboa??

    And who wins and how???

I'd be surprised if they could pull off a Ppv in the States.
OK fight. Would really only be a gauge of how faded Cotto is after a year and a half layoff at the end of his career. I think Brook starts strong and ends up getting out pointed once his initial crispness wears off.

Not with both coming off losses. Would be great on regular HBO or something along those lines.

brook wins, and he wins a lot easier than people think. Its a big fight, and cotto loses big fights (unless the other guys knee gives way). Trout beat him 119-109, brook can beat him wide aswell.

1 thing is I dont see Brook landing the same combos he did on GGG on Cotto. Cotto moves better with his jab than GGG does. Big question(s) are, does the layoff effect Cotto more than the TKO did Brook or vice versa? Cotto just cant fight Brook like he fought Canelo, he needs to sit down on some combos which I think he will feel better doing at 154. I think this is a good fight, if it was sold at a reasonable price with Gamboa fighting someone of note, Id buy it. Itd be nice if Canelo vacated the WBO and Cotto vs Brook were for the vacant belt.

Good point about Trout, but did he win that wide? I remember seeing it and I had Cotto losing clearly but I dont remember it that wide. I do think Trout has better feet than Brook though, but I think Brook is a better combination puncher.

I cant even take this coward Cotto seriously anymore. Hopefully Kell Brook lands the fight and sends Cotto away for good.

That's a good fight. I statement fight for both of these guys. Can Cotto still be effective at his age and at 154? This is one of the few fights at 154 I would give Brook a chance to win. Cotto isn't really that big of a 154lber. I don't give Cotto a shot at beating any of the other 154lbers except probably Jermell Charlo

Yea, agreed, Cotto isn't available to be hit like that. He doesn't just hunch forward and hunt. He's more like a coiled snake. Brook would have to try to implement the same style gameplan Trout did. Circle while peppering light punches. Could he pull it off? Again, really depends where Cotto is at.

I think Cotto is seasoned enough that he could handle anything Brook could throw at him, if Cotto shows up in good form. He's fought faster guys than Kell for sure. We're taking about a guy that looked like he should have retired 3 years ago though, and was extremely fortunate to have a brief 2nd life added to his career.
