Who cares if a boxer bets. Didn't Hopkins bet on himself to knock Trinidad out?

The problem would be if judges or refs are betting on fights they are officiating

Because a boxer can throw a fight, carry the fighter to get decision, or play with him to prolong the KO in a certain round all of which can be bet on.

          The Conlan part sounds minor.

The Donnelly thing is kinda funny....

The IOC said Donnelly had placed eight cumulative bets, two of them backing his Mongolian opponent Tuvshinbat Byamba to win. Donnelly, however, won the bout and lost his money.

A boxer should be allowed to bet on himself to win (or method of victory, round, etc.) but not to lose. If he bets on himself to lose and gets KO'd then people could always claim he threw the fight on purpose.

Betting to lose is a completely different story

Not really. Shaving points can be to win but by a certain amount. Same can be said about carrying a fighter to last longer than needed.

I wish the AIBA was that fast to resolve all their corruption problems.

                    Go f#ck yourself Olympic people.

Conlan probably lost his bets cuz of bs ass AIBA judges. He needs to sue AIBA for his f#cking medal + his f#cking paper.
