A side will always be the fighter who brings the most money to the table. If both are equal earners then the belts matter. This is prize fighting. Also, Golovkin is not more recognized. The chatter on websites doesn't equate to recognition when it's hardcore fans commenting. Lastly, in the old days they staged fights all over to maximize revenue or to escape various federal and state requirements. Otherwise you wouldn't have two Americans fighting in Tokyo or Manilla.

Are u ****...! Serious ???? GGG should bend over and meet all demands..???? I hope you never become a negotiator for a living !! First of all canelo is not the absolute A side.... His PPV #'s are dropping fast , second he is not moving up to 160 , he is actually bigger and walks around at 175lbs!! And last , GGG. Is the champ at middleweight and the best fighter in the world , so I suggest if canelo wants to regain all those fans tjat left him, he should be the one to bend over...Comment

The simple fact that Golovkin seems to be eyeing something at least near $15m, drastically limits the kind of money that Alvarez can make on the matchup whenever it happens.
Because, let's be clear here; $15m to Golovkin and $15m to Alvarez would necessitate the event having to do nearly $70m in revenue to cover everything ($10m as the site fee, $60m on PPV), a projection that already tops the business that Cotto-Alvarez did.
The fight could literally do the numbers that ODLH-Mayweather did and Alvarez, after paying Golovkin a purse (after he's already rejected $10m), still wouldn't make $50m.

Just like the old days the CHAMP was willing to travel and not always fight in his backyard, GGG NEVER fights in his backyard unlike guys of today what he did was reminiscent of what the greats like Muhammad Ali would do, Canelo isn't capable or brave enough to do that.
B-side... No, you're not B-side when you're more recognized, hold all the main titles and were the one to force the suppose to be "A-side" to dump his belts and drop down a division to fight an unheard of opponent
Damaging your body this bad just to avoid fighting guys your own weight?
Pathetic.
Ali traveled the world because he was a world attraction, who commanded top dollar from anyone looking to stage a fight with him.
Alvarez's New York debut (literally the first time that he was ever going to fight in NYC) was going to be in the big room at MSG, a stage that it literally took K2 four NY fights to be confident enough to stage. gtfohComment

So ggg had no problems at all when the opponent was rosado but once the oppenent was THE GREAT CANELOLUJAH he all of a sudden had a lil "This is boxing, respect boxing" speech.
lmfao you fools support a coward. Canelo gave up the belt cause he had no intention at that time to move to 160 but he still told GGG they can fight at the catchweight and ggg turned it down lmfao.
Remeber this fight only hasnt happened cause GGG hasnt agreed to it happening.Comment
