If the guy is truly a nobody, then just stay at 155 and fight Andrade, Charlo x 2, or the FedEx guy. You would think Mr. Big Time A-side "face of boxing" ought to be able to do a million buys fighting Ishe Smith for crying out loud.
Alvarez won his belt at 154, is currently out with his hand injury, and he and his camp have yet to mention any actual middleweights that his camp is eyeing to fight next, with folks still being openly squish about even moving up to 160 just yet. He had to strip down to his skivvys to make the weight, but Alvarez made the weight and didn't look like **** making the weight either. Fights against Brook or Cotto, at 154, aren't out of the question.

In case you forgot, Golovkin was the one who talked up Alvarez (in the name of "pursuing his aim to unify the division"), kept talking about Alvarez after he was handed the WBC 160 belt, and his camp still can't keep Alvarez's name out of their mouths. nice try, though.

Let's do math and use Glaser numbers only. 332k for Alvarez and 97k for Golovkin. That's 23% for Trip. As for Alvarez and a Mayweather fight at 160? Anyone's guess. Just note that they will have a lot of time to promote.

note: Golovkin-Lemieux happened almost a year ago, yet no one anywhere has been able to actually give any kind of breakdown of the actual PPV number (with Iole having his initial Alvarez-Khan satellite/cable breakdown within 10 days of the fight) beyond what Loeffler told folks.

If you actually looked at the link, you'd see that even Iole's initial number (which had more detail to it in 7 days than has ever been disclosed about Golovkin-Lemieux in 11 months) talked of a follow-up article that has yet to show up., and that the initial number was still more than triple the number that Loeffler's been pushing on the press with no corroborating proof.

Alvarez-Smith, on just the initial PPV number, did $20m; even with Loeffler's talked-up number, Golovkin-Lemieux only did $7.5m

That's Alvarez's "flop" doing nearly triple the business on the initial projections (with the Loeffler number being out and out ****, in my opinion). 3/1

You add that Alvarez is also giving up 7 pounds to make the hypothetical fight (Alvarez made 154lbs, **** on, at the scale) and making that 4/1 isn't all that difficult.

$20m in revenue for the Lara fight, $20m for the Angulo fight, $20m for the Liam Smith fight, $35m for the Khan fight, $55m for the Cotto fight, and $150m for the Mayweather fight.

              $7.5m for the Golovkin-Lemieux fight.

              nice try though

Golden Boy has been trying to line up the Sanders fight on their way to September 2017. Taking on Saunders in the debut at 160lbs was expecting a lot (regardless of what folks actually think of Saunders, he's still a middleweight titlist).

332 is for Khan as I can't find a Glaser source for the Canelo Smith fight. Not sure why only the Smith fight is getting mentioned for a fighter who has headlined multiple ppv star.

Cause it's his most recent ppv, following his humiliating mega duck. It shows his fan appeal is dropping. The Glaser numbers were posted here, shouldn't be hard to find
