Comments Thread For: Arum Rips: Golden Boy's Flat Fee Offer To Golovkin is Bull****!

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who doesn't have a dog in the fight, believes IBF/IBO/WBC/WBA middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) should be properly compensated for a mega-fight with Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs), who holds the WBO 154-pound title.

Does Pacquiao know that he supposedly made $150 million for the Floyd fight? Somebody forward him this article.

I think.ggg would even take a 35/65 split. I hate the flat fee idea unless your just there for th check like a lot of fighters.

Grandpa arum is still bitter that Oscar left him years ago to form his own promotion company and now Oscar has the biggest cash cow in boxing in Canelo.
Go die you old piece of ****!

Everything Bob says here is the truth. This is the biggest fight in boxing today. There needs to be a fair percentage (I've always said somewhere near 70-30), and this fight needs to be made sooner than later. Also, I think Arums assessment of Canelo is spot on. If he were lighter on his feet, I think Canelo would have a much better chance, but Alvares moves in the ring like a 45 year old man with those cement block feet of his.

I don't care if there is a flat fee, a 50/50 split, 100/0 split or any other kind of split as long as the fight gets made. However, canelo is the clear A-side and golovkin should bend over to him instead of being hard to work with. Canelo is already moving up to golovkin's weight class and is offering ggg a career high payday but golovkin wants more
