if ward wins does he get another 5 year grace period where he can duck everyone and try to fight sartison, periban, truax, dunn, brand, smith, etc?

I'm definitely not a Ward fan but how can anybody call him a ducker?

He cleaned out 168 and yeah he hasn't fought a good fighter for a few years now but he's been inactive for different reasons. He comes back and now fighting the best at 175.

I think the one thing nobody could accuse Ward of is ducking fighters.

Historically his m.o is to take the easiest guys. and in Germany.

Well obviously not, but he hasn't exactly been active for other reasons. contractual issues and whatnot.

Given his track record when he's been active regularly, i doubt he will be taking tune ups for 3 years.

Yeah I get the whole promoter thing but his last four fights is something on par with Garcia and he gets a lot of **** about it but wards get a pass. Just to be clear ward's not ducking anyone he's just getting paid for the least amount of resistance as possible.

Well his return has been pretty poor so far and i don't agree with him being anywhere near any p4p lists until he beats a top fighter.

are you being serious right now? a few years? try 5. its been 5 years since froch. he's been inactive for different reasons hmmm well the main reason is because hbo didn't approve the bum opponents he wanted to fight: periban, sartison, truax, dunn, etc.. and he wouldn't fight the guys they wnted him to fight: bute, froch, stevenson, ggg, degale, etc... trying to fight bums instead of good fighters who want to fight you isn't ducking?

please ask yourself why did he have promoter issues? because he wanted to fight bums and hbo wouldn't approve them. his promoter tried to get ward to fight good figthers like froch, bute, stevenson, etc..but ward simply refused. i wouldn't call refusing to fight good fighters promoter issues, i would call that ducking issues.
