Anyway, good fight but Walters has looked slow and kinda useless at 130. What happened to the fighter who annihilated Donaire? I hope that guy turns up and we can have a great fight.
    no that Nov 5 th

I'm not overly convinced by Walters' IQ compared to Lomachenko whom I get the impression that he's able to read and adjust to his opponents better
Where do you get this idea? Walters fought a very smart fight against Donaire. Where was Loma's iq when he fought Salido?

Lomachenko is a different fighter compared to Donaire.

You mean Lomachenko's 2nd ever pro fight against one of the most exciting and rugged fighters in the world today? It was 2nd ever fight at pro level. It's wrong to critique that loss by questioning his IQ considering the overall context of the fight. You can't expect a fighter to display his ring IQ that early on in his career. (Admittedly, I was elated when Salido won anyway, I wanted him to win badly)

All true, but Loma is improving with every fight... No fighter has really pushed him... He was playing it too safe for too long against Salido...Obviously he won't let that sort of thing happen again...

Walters is going to have a reach and possibly a power advantage... But I think Loma's speed, footwork, and technical skills will be the deciding factor.

Loma could be improving, but he could've benefited from good match ups. No telling what would happen if he came across another fighter like Salido.

I'm pretty confident Lomachenko can win a boxing match against pretty much everybody from 126 to 135, but can he win a war?

Walters peaked during the Donaire fight. This is still a 50/50. I think Walters beat Sosa, the fight wasn't a draw.

Loma might outbox him cause it's more than a year since he last fought.

Only if the Walters that faced Donaire turns up. The guy who has been in the last 2 fights will get schooled 12-0 by Loma.

btw, I didnt see much of walters pre-donaire, how good was he? Or was the donaire win just a fluke win over a past prime fighter?

very good question. I don't think he can. Salido is ageing and ageing fast but allow him another physical match up over Loma and he'd still win.

Thing is, I don't think Walters is THAT physical.
