Whos your favorite top 10 Boxers past or present based on when or if they are still fighting and why .
What s your order if you had to choose a difficulty level rooting against them if they could all be matched up. Skills ,Personalities , styles ,historical reasons ,etc in order ?
/ Mike Tyson : Hard not to put him here if you are a fan of quick k.os and aggressive style and bizarre behavior in and out of the ring .The man had his own video game the rest speaks for itself ,he singl handedly changed the face of boxing more ways than one . He was the giant slayer and the most dominant Champion of his time anyone has ever seen.
/ Anthony Joshua : Another great aggressive style fighter who is a boxer puncher . When he steps in the ring you are almost guaranteed a knockout and he hasnt hit his stride yet . He has a calm cool demeanor outside the ring but likes hurting ppl in the ring so im not sure whats not to like about an athletic destroyer at 6'6 245 /250 is as fun as it gets . Boxing has been needing a explosive k.o artsist and i believe Joshua being only 27/28 is going to give us that Mike Tyson placement once again but do it far longer .
/ Wlad Klitchko : One of the best big men to lace them up ,he has all the tools to be a nightmare for anyone ,size ,speed ,strength and his biggest weapon his ring IQ . A ramrod jabber who slowly pummels his opposition into subbmission ,he simply is over looked butnot by me his k.o percentages dont lie and he he certainly is not he portrait of a fighter outside the ring hes probably the smartest fighter to ever lace them up which either creates animosity or likeability . True fans are going to miss those hidden skills and his awesome ring walks to the ring when hes gone.
/ Vitali Klitchko : Not much more than that of Wlad . But when the lights went down and you heard those bells you knew Vitali was on his way to the ring and once he stepped foot in there you saw a look of a guy who means business and then saw a look of concern on his opponents face usually . Highly underatted skills but i like him more for his sheer toughness ,you almost had a sense that he was impossible to defeat at times at least i did . He had fought with injuries most of his career as well , i dont think we saw the best of him really but it is what it
/ Tommy Morrison : One of the most underatted fighters in history .Morrison had that aura about him and also some of the best ring entrances ss well. Arguably the greatest left hook of all time that put your lights out at any given time .Morrison brought some of the most exciting fights ever .As soon as the bell rang he tried ****ing his opposition out of there ,he has the most 1st round k.os i believe as well . You were almost guaranteed a knock out either way . His skills as an offensive fighter usually dont get mentioned ,he still threw the best body punches imop they were crippling power which im a big fan off. His mid south demeanor almost made it impossible to see anyone rooting against him and in an era when there were no top white Heavy weights ,he got alot of critisms and pressure thrown his way.
/ Lennox Lewis : A little bit of everything here ,great skills ,nice guy ,and he dominated imop the toughest era .Iliked Lewis mythodical style and always waited for that over hand right . He always had that look to him that he hsd yoyu figured out . Hes the only guy that i included that i personally met around 1992 or so . He was a good ambassador of the sport his size ,skill and quite relaxed post fight interviews of a bit of arrogance was always fun for me , Lewis was the first polished big man over 230 along with Bowe so it changed how you viewed the super heavy weight guys.
/ Razor Ruddock ! A somewhat forgotten talent ,he had superior footwork , hand speed , and also one of the greatest punches ever created "The Smash" apunch known to comotose guys . Although his career is primarily his 2 losses to Tyson and Morrison ,as a fighter he always brought it ,looking past his wasted talent bc he was really a 80's fighter he still displays some of the best boxing when he was on point . In the end i guess his Tyson alterations in two fights made me a big fan,he was the only guy to ever goe toe to toe with Tyson and survive in one of the 2 fights they had .
/ George Foreman : Whats not to like about Foreman , a nice guy out of the ring . While he was given gift decisions and avoided top guys one can look past that bc he was viewed as a larger than life figure. When he fought you always wanted to see him land the thudder shot and become any title champion and he finally got that from Moorer . Foreman in some fights took beatings particularly Holyfield and Stewart but was the hard chinned tank of the 90's .Hard to root and not like the gentle giant ,he came back to boxing bigger and smarter a decade later against bigger guys and it paid off.
/ Evander Holyfield : I have to include him mainly on determination of winning even when odds were stacked against him ,on top of that he was a near perfect fighter . Another fighter hard to root against you just saw the work he put into it ,he had to go that extra bit to defeat the stronger guys
/ Rocky Marciano : The Rock , a very limited talent who had to make up for that by shutting down his opponents skills with raw talent of physical strength and direct power shots to wear them down . I dont consider Marciano a giant slayer since no giants were around but his determination to continue battering opposition until they had enough is what i see . Marciano is probably the nicest guy to ever lace them up and after fights talked as if he and his opposition were going to be best friends all ****** up but those were more humble and simpler times than . Not so much he went undefeatted but his character in general he went on to also do some commentary and or talk boxing and fighters .
