i would be inclined to agree, as us brits usually like a gallant loser more than a winner (one of the worst things about our sporting culture) but that doesnt take into account how low rated fury is here, who beat wlad. And because wlad lost to fury, he is now seen as crap (as demonstrated by godfly comment) The average bloke on the street thinks joshua knocks out fury in a round and sees him as invincible, so if joshua goes in there and struggles with wlad people will be like, wtf, joshua must be ****. Hearns not completely ****** and he knows this is a hard hard fight.
And if the odds are good i'll be lumping money on wlad and i dont usually bet, cause i can imagine sky having some ridiculously ****** odds on joshua winning. With this fight i just cant shake that dillain whyte fight out of my head, i know anyone especially at heavyweight can be hurt, but it honestly looked like a fight between two novices at times

fury isn't seen as crap but fury isn't nearly the only one that can beat wlad at heavyweight at this point. it is you who see wlad as invincible. joshua has settled down a ton from the whyte fight. also the whyte fight was a bar room brawl, bad blood, PERSONAL. do you really think he's gonna fight A low put wlad like he's gonna fight whyte who was swinging for the fences throwing 70 punches a round? sometimes wlad doesn't even throw 10 punches in rounds. his out put is too low. he's not bigger then joshua so he's not gonna be able to hold on and hope for a prayer. & you are talking joshuas chin ok i give u that. but we all know wlads chin is complete crap, but it's not about his chin. wlad has a very very poor heart. any kind of bomb can discourage him. once wlad starts to see his face puffy being hit he shuts down & I mean at the first sign of it. he has the famous facial expression of emptiness with his mouth hanging open looking to grab, wlad has NEVER had a big heart & almost all of the fights in which he was forced to make it a tare up he folded. that whyte fight taught me that joshua has heart. plus joshua goes to the body with mean mean shots. wlad doesn't even throw body shots.


to say that one would pick joshua at this point in their careers because "i just think joshua is invincible" is just remedial. theres real logical points on how joshua would win that fight.

Joshua's handlers have a lot of faith in him. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him win either against an underrated but now aged champ in Wladimir. But I don't want to get my hopes up -- just tell me when the paperwork is signed.

i think theres a lot more life in wlad then people think, is he at his best with his age, probably not. Is he completely shot, not at all. Wlads output is going to be a lot higher against someone walking forward like joshua, than it is against an awkward fighter like fury. Whether fury is actually a better fighter than wlad, i dont know, but his style is an absolute nightmare for him which is why wlad found it so difficult. When pulev was coming forward who was a similar size he was more than happy to throw bombs.

I think this is a tough fight for Joshua. He' stepping up from Domonic Breazeale who is nowhere near Wlad level. Joshua is not going to be able to jerk around and be able to avoid Wlad like Fury did. This will be a different fight where both fighters have to engage. Wlad is a demon puncher too.

I think Joshua has slightly more reach?? I expect him to win but it won't be easy.

I'd agree with that.

Fury had a nightmare style for Wlad really, especially a 40 year old Wlad.

Joshua is much more robotic and will be right there. It would be a massive step up for Joshua. Wlad may be old but i think he still has enough left to beat a guy who's basically going to be right there infront of him. We're not just talking about an average heavyweight in Wlad, he was head and shoulders above the rest of his generation.

It's hard to predict i think. I doubt Joshua really has anything Wlad hasn't seen before,but he is 40. It's a risky fight for AJ, he's got a huge fanbase in the UK and if he lost, then he's basically lost to a guy that Fury beat. That will take some of the shine off his career.
