I was at the Kessler Ward fight and yes Ward took some bombs and kept on ticking. I do believe Kovalev is by far the biggest puncher of all the names you mentioned. Great fight it will be.

Don't get me wrong I am picking Ward to win but at the same time I know it's one of those fights where one punch can change things. It's boxing anything can happen. The likelihood of Kovalev landing the type of punches you are thinking of is low. Not impossible, but low. Ward's defense negates power punchers. It's hard to hit him hard and flush because he rarely fully commits to a punch.

This is a good matchup between 2 undefeated fighters but will it be a great fight??? Well if Ward comes to fight then it will be a Great fight but if Ward comes to monkey around by running, dancing and hugging then it won't...it all depends on Ward...which ward will show up???? The runner who wants to have the ropes to his back and run circles around the squared ring or the fighter that wants to control the center of the ring.....Hopefully HBO will talk to these guys prior to the fight and tell them to control the center of the ring and if ward starts monkeying around Kovalev should just stand in the center of the ring and not chase ward around.....even if the fans boo for awhile that will put pressure on Ward to come forward.

Dre has every right to feel confident about this fight....he hasn't taken an L in like 2 decades....Krusher is the dude that can end that streak though...50-50 fight imo...I would be surprised if someone gets stopped though....this will go to the scorecards

LOL. You're funny... I'm a huge fan of Andre Ward. He's a very humble cat, but that humility mixed with his confidence rubs people the wrong way. Especially since no one has found a way to beat him yet... My fandom doesn't cloud my honesty.

Side note: I am American and root for Americans in sports, especially boxing, so suggesting that if Ward was Eastern European that I would be more of a fan than I already am is ******. Ward and Kovalev are both highly skilled boxers with a high ring IQ. If you think Ward will adjust and keep Kovalev a step behind him you are in for a very rude awakening. Both fighters will be making adjustments throughout the fight.

You can be a KO artist and be a boxer.

Not everyone likes only one style of fighting. I for one was one of the biggest Flo moes on here and I am a big fan of Kovalev. I also haven't rooted for Pacquiao in a looong time and always rooted against him once he blew up and his fans became obnoxious.

Boxing isn't "using distance, smothering, parrying". Smothering for one isn't a real tactic in itself and it doesn't do you much good as a fighter, it's more effective to fight inside or stay on the outside unless you are winning every exchange.

Kovalev is a fantastic boxer, so to insinuate that he is some sort of face first brawler with a low ring IQ shows both how ignorant you are of Kovalev as a figher, and the sport of boxing in general.
