What Ward did at 175 so far? He beat two washed-up super middleweights in Smith and Brand... and Barrera (an inexperienced guy who never fought a 12 rounder up to that point).

Better bring your A++ game, Andy. You've never fought anyone like Kovalev before.

        Ward can win without power.

        Kovalev cannot.
I think the USA already proved itself as a great country, so I don't see why Americans criticize other Americans for not rooting for boxers in some nationalistic way. I already know the USA rules.

In this particular case, Kovalev has a cool personality, kind of crazy, and he clearly sees boxing as a combat sport, not just a point-accumulating thing like Ward does. I like his style better, so I root for him. Ward is a hectoring, lecturing annoying type, so I don't root for him.

I have to agree, SK is a sophisticated boxer, very well schooled, and clinical, and he has the ability to adjust during the fight. Andre Ward is kidding himself if he believes SK is merely relying on his power, he is relying on his skill as well. That's why I think a knockout is possible for SK, and why I think he could stop GGG. He not only hits like a truck, he can deliver his punches with precision

Dam - you pseudo boxing fans must of forgot - 1 person said Kovalev has a cool personality - ha, with his bigoted insults and womanizing comments...
didnt Ward win the Gold at 172? has Kovalev fought a Kessler? Carl Froch? dont bring up a 49 year old Hopkins who should have never seen the final bell after getting rocked and dropped in the first round!!!! Kovalev is the goods, but either you guys are in denial or simply hate Andre Ward, but there is a reason why his contemporaries i.e.. other boxers rate him #1 p4p and while he was on his hiatus and Mayweather was #1 p4p - they still were putting Ward up in the top 4 !!!! the Harder Kovalev fights, the worse he takes a beating, and he might get stopped due to frustration and getting the brakes beat off him! not too many meaner fighters out there than Ward, and do not get angry and mean confused ! maybe you guys need to go on youtube and watch him train ! look at his balance and technique - was Froch able to walk Ward down with a documented broken hand? how about Kessler when he fought Ward for Ward's 19th professional fight?? you saw the meaness in that fight, everyone wanted to call foul, naw that's what Dogs do, they beat the fight out of you !
