Instead of just putting on random fights, PBC should be a tournament style deal. It would make for way better fights and entertainment value. PBC has the $ to make pbc more like the ufc which seems to draw more casual fans because each fight serves a purpose. Not just 2 randoms fighting to pad one guys undefeated record.
PBC would be more interesting if it was a tournament

I see too many problems with a tournament format in such a rough sport & a sport where injuries often occur to push back fights. I think competitive fights is a good enough goal to work for in boxing & its what the UFC excels at more than their tournament format from back in the day.
I'd enjoy the tournament format more for up & coming guys 6-8 round guys or newly 10 round fighters doe. -

"PBC" has brought way better fights in 2016 than HBO. Therefore, "PBC" is good for boxing.Comment

The Super Six was the worst elite level fighter tournament I think I've ever seen although to be fair I don't think I've ever enjoyed any legit tournament with more than 4 fighters involved as they all are pretty clusterf#ckery.
The Super Six specificaly didn't include Bute first off who was for sure a top 6 guy at the time & should have been in any 168 tournament by any reasonable judge of the top 6 guys. He was locked out for the ~2 years or however long that tournament took (feel free to correct me on the timeline as I don't recall exactly) which is a ****ty situation to think of happening to other top 6 guys in any division in a future Super Six or similar tournament. Plus the round robin format for a brutal sport like boxing is ******ed as Taylor couldn't even continue for all his scheduled bouts + in boxing things can change on a time so do we really need to see a guy who's 0-2 fight a third time? I say no. I say single elimination is perfect & keeps things moving.Comment

They should have been just like bellator and do four man tournaments over the course of a few months, winners been crowned champ, and then have 4 man tournaments to crown mandatories.
It has worked great for bellator and could easily be replicated by PBC..
Imagine had a welter tourney,,, garcia-khan 2, thurman-Porter,, winners meet.. Winner of that would be champ.. They could have easily done tournaments for 140, 147, 154, 160, etc..
Then pbc could have seperated itself from sanctioning bodies and boxing politicsComment
