The Lennox Lewis that fought Vitali Klitschko.

The version of Lennox Lewis that fought Vitali Klitschko some year ago was old and out of shape (I think so). Do you think some, or any, of the current heavyweights could have beat that version? How about Samuel Peter, Lamon Brewster, Hasim Raman again ... ?

No I don't. Sam Peter's technique is too poor to have given Lewis any problems. It would have mirrored the Wlad fight without the knockdowns. I think Rahman would have had the best chance but probably would have gotten knocked out. I think Brewster would have no chance because he's too hittable against a good offensive fighter like Lennox. Its not usually mentioned but the tide was turning in that fight in Lennox's favor and he took some big time boms and took them well from Vitali and, to Vitali's credit, Vitali took shots that most heavyweights couldn't take. Wlad would have the best chance out of any of the current heavyweights but it wouldn't have been a good style for for Wlad so I'd pick Lewis

I think Wlad, Rahman, and Brewster couldve beat him. They got the power.

I agree Lewis would have knocked Vitali down and out, had the bout not been stopped on cuts.

But Klitschko had Lewis momentarily stunned in the second round. In fact Lennox started slowly that night. A fast starter with power and an agressive fighting style could have taken advantage of that, e.g. Brewster, Peter, Briggs. Not Wladimir Klitschko, though, too much respect for the power that Lewis brings.

he took the fight on 2 weeks notice, see how it affects the fighters training, he was probably watching Johnson tapes and training the way to beat Kirk.

Still after this he stopped him, Lennox is a warrior.
