If Ward was a concussive puncher knocking everyone out you'd expect Kovalev to watch his fights. But watching Ward fights is not much entertainment, so I believe him.
being entertained has nothing to do with skills and the quality of the fighter

boxing is very simple....if you get hit less and land more(especially clean shots)...you win

Ward lands over 40% and gets hit at 25% or less throughout his career

Most knockout artist dont have the skills to overcome boxer punchers, or cuties with a decent punch, physical strength and good punch resistance

he better saddle up and study his opponent because Ward doesnt give two shyts about his reputation, JDJ talking, or what people think

thats why he hasnt lost since the 90s lol

if being exciting meant something....mickey ward would be considered an all time great...in the greater scheme of things excitement means very little to fighters...they are their to win

Easy work Kovalev. #2 more months
kovalev is a very good fighter, and could potentially make the hall

but with all due respect to you and Kovalev

He could not carry Roy Jones, jock strap on his best day

roy would be 2-10 steps ahead the entire fight.

he really made great fighters look like nobodies....hill and mccallum were hall of famers....it seems as if he "carried" the old pro mccallum

the good fighters he faced he made seem mediocre and they won titles in their own right, a few won titles after he beat them....clinton woods, lou del valle, Reggie Johnson, Montell Griffin 2, Otis Griffin, Julio Cesar Gonzalez(who went on to take Dariusz Michalcewski undefeated record)

they really mustve forgot....or just dont know how great this man really was

he made moves in the ring no one has seen before his time or since

Kov would've just been another name on that list.

Why would he? Ward was an absentee for a good amount of time. I'm sure during the super six, killa kiv had other things on his plate
