I think everyone who knows boxing knows GGG is the man in the division.

The Lineal Middle weight champion

Martinez, Cotto and Canelo were all sort of pretend lineal middleweight champs anyway. Middleweight has always been 160. Martinez was a big 154 pounder who defended his lineal title against Jr middleweight Williams at 157 while avoiding number 1 challenger GGG. Martinez lost the title to Cotto at a weight limit of 159. Cotto sat on the title for a full year before fighting Geale who had recently been destroyed by GGG in 3 rounds. Cotto like Martinez, refused to fight GGG but fought Geale at a catchweight of 157. Then Cotto lost the ever shrinking lineal middleweight title to Canelo at a weight limit of 155. Canelo KOed Khan at a weight limit of 155 and then gave up his title to GGG who should have been the lineal middleweight champ years ago. The last three lineal middleweight champions played keep away with their title as far as GGG was concerned. Now GGG is both the lineal champion and the best middleweight in the world and that's the way it was meant to be. Jacobs will very likely be his next title defense. Jacobs is the best and most deserving challenger and whoever wins that fight is a great lineal middleweight champion.

Some of these guys hate GGG so much that theyd rather call a duck the MW champ than simply give credit where credit is due. Its ridiculous to fathom that the man who gave away his belt and ran to another division be called the champ. Champions fight, b itches run

Oscar decides who is the lineal MW Champ since he basically owns the Ring and the Ring belt which is considered the lineal belt. Funny though that the lineal MW champion says he is no real MW, never fought at 160 and fought a welter and junior welter in his last fights and never beat a legit Middleweight in his entire career.

Neither Cotto nor Canelo are real MW champions. New lineage shall be established. Maybe one could consider GGG-Lemieux as the fight for new lineage. Maybe it will be GGG-Jacobs. Canelo said on multiple occasions that he is not a middleweight. This is my take on it anyway...

For crying out loud, he is precisely ducking GGG. This is the primary reason why there is such a thing as the lineal champ. It's the man that beat the man that beat the man. Not, the man that beat the man, that ducked the man.
I am not a GGG fan, in fact I will be rooting for Jacobs if they fight. This is just straight up boxing talk.
