A fired-up Joseph Parker has accused his giant Russian opponent of being 'disrespectful' and plans to make him pay in the ring. Alexander Dimitrenko said on Tuesday he doesn't believe Kiwi heavyweight Parker beat Carlos Takam and that he would probably have to deliver a knockout on October 1 to secure victory in New Zealand.

To be fair Takam would make a lot of guys look bad but Parker chased after the fight valiantly and he is continued to fighting better opposition.

Dimitrenko has shown to have problems with good boxers, so depending on how solid Parker's skills are, this could be a rough one for Sasha. Not to mention Sasha's opposition has been really weak since the Pulev loss... while Parker's opposition keeps improving. Either way though, Parker should get the W. And he has nothing to be ashamed of vs Takam... who is trouble for anyone.

Parker's team didn't have to take this fight. I feel Dimitrenko has faded badly after the Chambers & Pulev loses. His chin has failed him in recent bouts against trialhorses. Both times he got off the floor to win but those were opponents he should have had no troubles with. I don't see this fight going more then 4 or 5 rounds. Dimitrenko is not nearly the same fighter he once was & I doubt he has much chance of scoring the upset. Dimitrenko has nothing to lose so at 34 can he turn back the clock & give Parker a good fight? I always thought Dimitrenko was some what overrated when he was rising though the ranks. He rose through the WBO rankings. The WBO route is the weakest route to a title & it always has been. Look at it's history of champions & rankings. Compare the 4 governing bodies ratings & you can see for yourself.
