No. No fighters are generally massively ego driven and generally believe they can and will win even against the odds. They'd be in the wrong damn sport if they didn't think that way! No when I say 'fighters' are concerned about losing I should have said the teams... their promoters, managers etc who make their fights and have an eye to their future prospects and earning potential.

thats fair but at the same time if u dont think k2 is at least thinking of the possibility that ggg loses to canelo as being a real possibility as well u would be wrong. they for sure thought about that aspect with ward as we saw by the way they went on pr campaign that a ward ggg fight doesnt make financial sense etc etc even tho at the time ggg was looking for big fights

Of course they consider that possibility. I don't think Golovkin's some kind of invincible machine and K2, Loeffler or Sanchez clearly don't either. If they did they'd be in the wrong game You can lose in any fight and Canelo himself is one hell of a fighter. And yes, more so with Ward. They had to figure it was a fight that Golovkin could lose, which would absolutely harm his drawing power as some kind of irresistible KO artist. Given that due to Wards own problems the only time that the fight had a realistic chance of happening was when Golovkin was - seemingly - lined up to fight the winner of Canelo / Cotto as WBC mando though, it's not hard to understand the choices they made.

And no one says Loeffler is difficult to deal with, actually the opposite. They didn't do anything to Eubanks, those guys waited until last minute to try to strong arm some them by threatening the show. Hearns called their bluff.

Even the whole GPB offer and k2 counter offer is just public haggling.

And for you to pretend like Jacobs, Susnders, and Canelo were wanting this fight is absurd. Even now no one is sure Jacobs won't back out like Eubanks did.

So before you GGG get all happy thinking the flood gates are opening, let's remember we've been here before and Jacobs team has already said they want ppv money, the offer they get won't be ppv money.
If you didn't always favor gg and his associates in every scenario, you'd have some credibility. When everything you say has zero objectivity because it ALWAYS favours gg and crew, it's purely rhetoric.

I'm not saying that to trash on you, it's just friendly advice because you might not know how corny or looks when every time you post, it's some predictable spin about how Golovkin is great in all things.

Before you inevitably try to flip this, I have both positive and critical things to say about every fighter. I also talk about all different fighters. I would never put myself in service of a fighter, esp not one who will never know who I am.

Go look at the N'Dam fight! Khurtsidze had N'Dam looking real bad too! Plus "White Tyson" is the WBO #1 contender, so eventually he'll be the mandatory. Make it happen!

Make the fight the money is there....

Jacobs made $1.5 I think for Quillen fight so $3-4 mil is probably his number maybe $5 mil at most. Plus with merchandise deal he will be rewarded for the risk and if he wins he gets to fight Canelo in a big money maker or Saunders in UK. I favor GGG to win because I believe he has the better chin.

Jacobs vs Golovkin for lineage, bring it. It's shame Flounders can't vacate the wbo belt and that be on the line too so Golovkin can be done with the divison after this fight then bring actual competitive fights for the genuine boxing fans and not just the fan boys loving the GGG hype train as it keeps chugging along slowing for no man.

Golovkin's power is drastically overrated; he's obviously heavy-handed, but his power is more a bludgeoning baseball bat-type power, rather the type of "bullet to the head" power that you see from folks like Adonis Stevenson and Randall Bailey.

Jacobs got dropped by Mora because he hurt Sergio, Sergio was in clear retreat/survival mode, and he got caught coming in overly aggressive (with Mora throwing the shot off of his back foot).

If that's what you're hanging your hat on, be ready to be shocked.

The only reason why any manager would mention PPV would be because they had a sense of having a PPV option (or something similar) already in hand.

If HBO doesn't think that Golovkin is worth the cost of risking PPV, I'm fairly certain that Showtime sees Jacobs as being worth the cost of risking PPV (which ends up putting Golovkin's nuts in a vice).

That's not for lineage. Only if it was vacant but it's currently held by an imposter.
