Who is to say braehmer being 37 years old doesn't fade late in the fight and get stopped.. You can't presume that Juergen was going to win the 2nd half of the fight. Pretty much everyone that picked cleverly did so on the assumption he would tire the old guy out with activity.
Plus it's a slippery slope what you are suggesting.. What about bad decisions or split decisions.. Ie I thought castillo beat floyd so I'm not eliminated, or bradley didn't really beat manny, vitali was ahead of lennox, etc

Nah mate, you misunderstand me. I'm by no means saying that Braehmer should be declared the winner - that's crazy. I think Tom should have ignored the fight completely and moved everyone to next round, since the fight wasn't really resolved. I'm not talking about bad decisions, or arguable decisions, or even premature stoppages. I'm talking about legitimate injuries or unless the fight fell through for some reason.

Some people on NSB know me - I try to be objective in all things. I would have made this suggestion even if it did not benefit me (ie, if I picked Cleverly).

Looking through the schedule there is jack **** on for the next month or so.

Only potential inclusions that I can see are Bellew vs Flores, which is a mismatch, and Luke Campbell vs Derry Matthews, which isnt world level.

Unless someone can point me in the direction of a good fight coming up, then we might just have to take a small break.

November 5th we have Wlodarczyk vs Duradola which is a good cruiserweight fight (not sure yet whether I will use this one) and Manny Pac vs Vargas, which although being a bit of mismatch, is a big enough fight that I will probably put it in.

Novemeber 19th we have Kovalev vs Ward. Then a week after Lomachenko vs Walters and maybe (unlikely) Joshua vs Klitschko.

But this was a boxing related injury. I had Braehmer winning until the last minute, but switched banking on old age getting to him. And this is what happened.

Picking Braehmer was just unlucky.

No worries, should be a rematch but I'll pick Clev for that one. Braehmer was showing his age and quitting like that showed he hasn't got it anymore.

The ending ******. Everyone wanted to see the full fight.

The Cleverly camp were betting on Braehmer slowing down in the second half and Cleverly coming on strong.

The good news is that there will be a rematch. We should include that fight in the next tournament so that Team Braehmer have a chance at redemption.

Though in my defense it was **** luck on Braehmer and I only picked Crolla cos he's from Manchester, but Ima take it like a man.
