If you honestly think that K2 would be willing to put Golovkin in with a a 6'1 full-sized southpaw junior middleweight (likely heading to middleweight at some point), who can move and has pop in both hands, you're alone on that point.
K2 barely has the confidence to mention Erislandy Lara's name because they know how that fight will go.
Good luck to Andrade. What's interesting is that this fight is for the WBA "regular" Champ. The WBA "Super" Champ is Erislandy Lara, yet for some reason all I hear out of Andrade and his promoters are the Charlo twins. I hope Andrade's first fight after Culcay is Lara!
Not saying that Andrade is the boogeyman; just making the point that if K2 was so hell-bent on not even acknowledging Lara's existence, they sure as hell aren't going to voluntarily choose to fight Demetrius Andrade, a 28-year old fighter who brings the same type of problems that Lara does, yet does so from a 6'1 frame that can crack off of the backfoot.
K2 is trying to cash out Golovkin before age ravages him like it does every fighter (Wladimir Klitschko, as a heavyweight, was able to get well into his late 30s before he got old, yet he only had a third of the amateur fights Golovkin did).
If you think that K2's taking any kind of chance with Golovkin at this point, you haven't been paying attention

Andrade is the second mandatory for the WBC 154 title, after Charles Hatley/Don King figure out what they're going to do about the Charlo fight. Beating Culcay would also put Andrade in position for a Lara shot (the WBA has yet to mandate that fight, but they likely will), leaving him in position for two title opportunities.

Andrade is in a beautiful position, I just find it odd that he doesn't seem to want that work from Lara!
March 2, 2015:
Demetrius Andrade is looking for a fight, Erislandy Lara needs one, and Andrade's team figures that a matchup between the two top junior middleweights would make sense for both parties, as they hope to goad Lara into a fight the way Lara did Canelo Alvarez in 2014.
“Don’t get me wrong. Lara is an interesting fight because he also is slick. But that last fight against Vanes Martirosyan, he tried to stay in the pocket a little bit, he felt comfortable with somebody he’s already fought before, which I don’t know if he’ll do that with somebody like me,” Andrade told BoxingScene.com late last month...
Interestingly, while Andrade doesn’t want the WBA “super” titleholder in Lara, he would be OK with facing the secondary titleholder, Jack Culcay, who holds the sanctioning body’s “regular" belt. Andrade doesn’t know much about Culcay.
“I just heard of his name, that he has the WBA,” Andrade said. “I’m trying to get a title shot so I can put a belt up against Charlo where it’s big, not me trying to fight for the belt he has, even though I’m going to take it.”

If given the choice to have Charlo-Andrade or Lara-Andrade, the Charlo fight is clearly the better style matchup (while also likely doing better business, tbh).
Andrade's not going to turn down either fight, but he's not going to lock himself down just yet either.
He will need a KO in Germany I think he will take care of business
If Lara is staying at 154 then Andrade have a chance to become his Mandatory and have the WBA order that fight which I want to see!
i dont think so tbh. when Culcay lost a fight from being too defensive and showboating, i believe that was in Germany. he doesnt have that felix sturm juice. Andrade will be good in germany
