The examples your giving are if Mayweather or Pacquiao fight immensely bigger fighters in divisions stretching their physical limits. In 2 of the 3 fights you listed for Hopkins, he was the underdog against much smaller fighters, including one he brought up to a 170 catchweight from 160. Is there any fighter in the world that would apply to with Mayweather or Pacquiao? Of course not. Mayweather would have been a considerable favorite against Margarito, even though he ducked it.

I don't agree with holding that against them for not being underdogs, specifically when you look at the fights Hopkins was an underdog in.

He did the same thing against Taylor both times. He lost those fights because of slow starts, not inability to adjust. Mid-fight adjustments made both fights close.

Hopkins lost his first title shot in 1994. Floyd was a amateur in 1994.

Amen brother. Was just watching the Pavlik fight last night. HBO really wanted him to KO Hopkins lol He was a master of the trade and one of the smartest boxers to ever step foot in the cage. He wasn't the fastest or the most powerful yet he still made you look ******.

that's why I feel he is overrated....when he wins....its a record or the best thing since sliced bread....he loses then its his age


they've been doing this since his loses to Taylor which had more to do with what taylor was doing, Hopkins wasn't doing than Age or being shot

You are talking about fights that didnt happen as if they cancel out the ones that did.
