Alvarez vs Chavez Jr. / Chavez Jr. vs Golovkin - PPV! Which One?

So the Chavez family have never liked Alvarez. Of course, the spotlight with Sr. was to pass the torch to his son for as long as that fame would last, but the discipline is just not there... Plus, Chavez Jr. had been wanting Alvarez for the longest.

Just recently Chavez Sr. said Alvarez needs Golovkin to break 1 million... as if the Floyd bout had no Mexican PPV customers...

The easiest solution for REAL Mexican fans, and it's a shame these fights are not possible, maybe, I mean we did get a TITLE bout defense for Lil'G vs Brook and Loeffler has said strange things happen in boxing, then why not a catchweight, non title bout for Alvarez vs Chavez Jr. and get it over with. This EASILY makes 1.5 million IMO.

Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez did 475,000 PPV

OR, Golovkin vs Chavez Jr. PPV, non title bout

Advantages for both Alvarez and Golovkin is to face a BIGGER man for them to get that work NORTH.

"THe focus is PPV... this is box..."

I think Chavez Jr. was calling out GGG a while back and he wanted a fight where they would bet 2 mil if GGG could KO Chavez Jr.

I remember Arum saying Jr. just walked away from it.

Arum wanted Chavez Jr. To extend their contract if he made the fight. This is very well documented. Ever heard of Mikey Garcia or Floyd Money May and a guy named Arum?

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr @166/167 (Alvarez gives up size, but ChavezJr gets dragged down by the weight), for Mexican Independence Day weekend 2017, at AT&T Stadium in Texas, is literally K2's nightmare scenario.

Did you read the deal? Of course we're relying on Arum but the deal was 7 mil for GGG and then a guarantee of 5 mil for the next fight if he lost or 10 if he won.

That is incredible especially because GGG was just up and coming in 2014 when this was happening. Theres no excuse for not taking that kind of deal.

And Arum is bad but not as bad as Haymon and what Richard Schaefer did to Golden Boy.

Imagine Aztec Stadium, easily 87K capacity. Louder than Froch vs Groves. AT&T stadium easily sold out

Freedom to control his own career, at least to Chavez Jr, was worth more than getting a $5m check (which also likely would've commanded another fight option when that got exercised, Arum's m.o. being what it is).

Chavez Jr got his freedom, has basically led his career down a bit, but I'm confident that he'll take the bitter with the sweet for the simple ability to decide things for himself.

Oscar ****ed himself; rather than being open to the plan being put together, Oscar let Arum get in his ear (talking about co-promoted shows that have yet to actually manifest), trick him out of his position (Showtime closing the door to Golden Boy, Schaefer's financial folks leaving the company, AEG and their venues leaving the company, Fox Sports leaving the company, etc), and is now in the position where he's on the hook for over 90% of his company's financial risk, with Saul Alvarez being the only fighter keeping his company afloat (with his actions moving accordingly).

CJr. vs Ducknelo would be a huge gate success if the fight is in TX or MX and will do likely around 500K PPV.

chavez jr vs GGG for me, that would be a war, chavez has the size and chin to endure GGG punishment and he can only fight one way, going forward

Not sure if CJr. has the body to endure GGGs body work. He does have the chin and size.
