Prior to their fight taking place, Smith had favored Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) to beat Canelo is the two fighters ever stepped inside the ring. After getting knocked out by Canelo and feeling him out in the ring, Smith (23-1, 13KOs) still believes Golovkin is too big and would come out on top if the two boxers faced each other.

"No [I don't think Canelo will win], I think Triple G is too big for him. Canelo belongs here [at 154-pounds]," Smith said.

I know the GGG fans will somehow disagree with the guy who just fought Canelo! Of course, they know better!

Canelo looks dead when he gets to the 152-155 range, so how does he belong in the 154 weight class. Also side-by-side Canelo looks the same size if not bigger than GGG and that pic was ages ago!

Smith is probably refering to Canelo size/power and experience. Liam has been in there with canelo and he comes a fighting family of four so he would probably know more than the naked eye.

Choosing to cut more weight so that you can have a size advantage over your opponent doesnt make you the smaller man. I'm sure if GGG chose to dehydrate and starve himself he can make 154 as well. Instead he chooses to fight and weigh in closer to his natural fighting weight than Canelo does.

I dont think I have ever seen GGG fight of the back foot, acually I always wonderd how he would react to good fighter with a solid chin pushing him back.

There isn't a good middleweight that can push him back and I think the same of the super middleweight division. Hagler stayed at middleweight his whole life.

I didnt read this shit but Ill tell you how Golovkin vs Canelo will go. Golovkin will put that jack hammer jab in canelos mouth anytime he gets close enough to get it. Canelo will follow Golovkin around the ring while he boxes his ***ing ears off. Somewhere around the 9-10 round after canelo has swung at air all night and had the **** beat out of him he will fold or his corner will throw in the towel. I dont at this point think Golovkin will drop Canelo but he will put a career defining beating on him. It wont go the distance and ill bet every point i have on it. Golovkin wont bebeat until he moves up.
